Shaykh Manzarul Islam al-Azhari has been serving as the Imam of Cary Masjid in North Carolina for more than 10 years. His education consists of completing his Alim and Fazil studies in India and a BA from al-Azhar University with a concentration in Arabic and Hadith. While at Azhar, Shaykh graduated from Darul Ifta in the four major schools of thought. He holds a MA from Duke’s Department of Graduate Liberal Studies in the field of Religion. While at Duke, he received the Duke University Graduate Liberal Studies fellowship for the Oxford University International Summer School.
