His education consists of completing his Alim and Fazil studies in India and a BA from al-Azhar University with a concentration in Arabic and Hadith. While at Azhar\, Shaykh graduated from Darul Ifta in the four major schools of thought. He holds a MA from Duke's Department of Graduate Liberal Studies in the field of Religion.
